Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. Karo syrup
    1/4 c. water
    1 1/2 c. parched peanuts
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Bring sugar, syrup, water and peanuts to a boil.
    Cook on medium high, stirring constantly, until hard crack stage (about 300\u00b0 on a candy thermometer).
    Remove from heat, then quickly stir in soda.
    Be sure to mix completely.
    Pour onto a buttered cookie sheet.
    Let cool completely; break into pieces.
