Old-Time Popcorn Balls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 or 4 qt. popped corn
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. molasses
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

In a large pan, mix sugar, molasses and water.
Cook to a rolling boil.
Continue to cook until the syrup, dropping from a spoon, spins a thread.
Quickly stir in the vanilla and soda.
Pour syrup over popcorn.
Stir with a large spoon.
