Fluffy Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together in a bowl.
    Cut in shortening until coarse.
    Lightly mix in milk with fork to make a soft dough.
    Stir as little as possible.
    Drop tablespoonfuls of dough into broth.
    Cook 10 minutes, uncovered, then cover tightly and simmer 10 minutes longer.
