Christmas Congealed Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 can crushed pineapple
1 (3 oz.) lime Jell-O
1 c. applesauce
1/2 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
1/2 c. chopped maraschino cherries
Preparation

Drain and reserve pineapple juice.
Add water to juice to measure 1 cup liquid.
Bring mixture to a boil; add jello and stir until dissolved. Cool slightly. Add remaining ingredients.
Pour into salad molds.
Refrigerate until congealed.
Makes 6 servings.
