Hawaiian Meatballs - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. extra lean ground beef
2 c. cracker crumbs
1 egg
1/4 c. milk
1/3 c. minced onion
1 1/2 tsp. ginger
1 Tbsp. shortening
1 (13 1/2 oz.) can pineapple tidbits, drained (reserve syrup)
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/3 c. vinegar
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1/3 c. chopped green pepper
Preparation

Mix beef, crumbs, onion, egg, salt, ginger and milk.
Shape mixture into tablespoon sized balls.
Melt shortening into large skillet.
Brown and cook meatballs.
Remove meatballs from skillet and pour off fat.
Mix cornstarch and sugar.
Stir in pineapple juice, vinegar and soy sauce until smooth.
Pour into skillet and cook over medium heat until thick.
Boil and stir 1 minute.
Add meatballs, tidbits and peppers.
Heat thoroughly.
