Ingredients

1 1/2 c. margarine
3/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 lb. blanched almonds or pecans, chopped fine
2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. confectioners sugar
Preparation

Cream margarine and sugar.
Blend in vanilla.
Combine salt, flour and nuts; mix well.
Shape into 1-inch balls and chill 1 hour.
Mix together nutmeg and confectioners sugar.
Bake cookies at 300\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
While warm, roll in nutmeg mixture. Makes about 86 cookies.
