Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. less 2 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. Crisco
5 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
4 c. Kellogg's All-Bran
2 c. Nabisco 100% Bran
4 eggs
5 c. flour
1 qt. buttermilk
Preparation

Soak Nabisco 100% Bran in 2 cups of boiling water.
Cream Crisco and sugar.
Add beaten eggs and buttermilk.
Add All-Bran. Combine flour, soda and salt; add to mixture.
Fold in the soaked bran.
Bake in greased muffin tins (or use muffin papers) at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
This batter will keep for approximately 10 days in tightly covered container in refrigerator.
Spoon out as needed; no need to re-stir.
