Pimento Cheese Spread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. American cheese
    1 small can pimento
    piece of butter (about half size of egg)
    1 small can Carnation milk
    3 Tbsp. mayonnaise
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cut cheese up and pour milk over it.
    Put butter with milk and cheese.
    Cook in top of double boiler until it thickens.
    Drain all juice from pimentos and mash real fine.
    Pour cooked mixture over the pimento and add mayonnaise, salt and pepper.
    Mix well. Very good in stuffed celery.
