Ingredients

1 egg
1/2 c. molasses
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening, melted
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Beat egg,
add
molasses,
sugar,
shortening and soda. Beat until mixed.
Sift
together flour, salt and spices.
Add gradually, blending well.
Chill several hours.
Roll out thin (1/16-inch). Cut out and bake at 350\u00b0 for 5 to 7 minutes.
