Mock Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    20 to 24 Ritz crackers
    cinnamon
    pats of butter (margarine)
    1 deep dish pie crust
Preparation
    Bring sugar, water and cream of tartar to boil. Break crackers in 4 pieces each; put crackers in deep dish pie crust. Pour liquid mixture over crackers. Sprinkle with cinnamon and place pats of butter over pie. Bake in oven at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes, then at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Serve warm.
