Doug'S Mild "Not Wild" Chili Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean ground beef
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 c. diced onions
    1 medium diced green pepper
    2 minced garlic cloves
    1 (29 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (29 oz.) can tomato juice
    1 (48 oz.) tomato soup
    3 c. water
    1/3 c. chili powder
    2 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 (16 oz.) cans kidney beans
Preparation
    Cook ground beef; drain and set aside.
    Saute onions, green pepper and garlic in oil until tender, stirring frequently (do not brown).
    Add next 8 ingredients; heat to boiling.
    Reduce heat to low adding beef.
    Simmer at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Add beans (drained if preferred); heat.
    Serve with tortilla chips and shredded Cheddar cheese.
