Estofado-Stew(Serves 4) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. boneless chuck, cut for stew
    1 chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1/8 tsp. garlic powder
    4 Tbsp. olive oil
    1/2 c. tomato sauce
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 c. Burgundy
    1 bay leaf
    1 tsp. oregano
    salt and pepper
    1 (7 oz.) can green chili salsa
Preparation
    Brown meat and onion in oil in Dutch oven; add remaining ingredients.
    Cover and bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer for 2 to 3 hours or until meat is tender.
