Aunt Cordella'S Mince Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/3 c. white sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    1 Tbsp. butter
    pastry for 2 (9-inch) crusts
    1 1/2 c. finely chopped, pared apple
    1 c. dark raisins
    1/2 c. jellied cranberry sauce
    1/3 c. walnuts, coarsely chopped
    1 tsp. grated orange peel
    1/2 tsp. grated lemon peel
    1/4 c. lemon juice
Preparation
    Combine sugar, salt and spices in a bowl.
    Add apple, raisins, cranberry sauce, nuts, orange and lemon peel and lemon juice; mix well.
    Pour into pastry-lined 9-inch pie plate.
    Dot with butter. Adjust top crust, tucking edges under rim of bottom crust; crimp edges.
    With knife, cut design in top crust.
    Bake in hot oven (400\u00b0) for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Serve warm.
