Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. peanut butter
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 eggs, well beaten
1 Tbsp. milk
2 c. sifted self-rising flour
Preparation

Combine shortening and peanut butter and mix well.
Gradually add granulated sugar and brown sugar.
Cream thoroughly after each addition.
Add eggs and milk, mixing well.
Add sifted flour and mix well.
Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet or roll dough into balls 3/4 to 1-inch in diameter.
Press lightly with a fork to flatten.
Bake at 325\u00b0 (slow oven) 15 to 20 minutes.
