Cajun Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. pork sausage, browned and drained
1 lb. ground turkey, browned and drained
4 to 5 c. cabbage, coarsely chopped
1 c. rice (uncooked)
1 can Ro-Tel tomatoes and green chilies, diced
2 c. water
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan.
Cover; simmer, stirring occasionally, until cabbage and rice are tender and all water is absorbed, 15 to 20 minutes.
Add additional water in small amounts, if needed.
Good served with corn bread.
Makes 6 main dish servings.
