Quiche Lorraine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9-inch one crust pastry
    12 slices crisp bacon, crumbled
    1 c. shredded cheese (Cheddar or Swiss)
    1/2 c. minced onion
    4 eggs
    2 c. milk or whipping cream
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1/8 tsp. cayenne red pepper
Preparation
    Heat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Prepare pastry.
    Sprinkle bacon, cheese and onion in pastry-lined pie pan.
    Beat eggs slightly; beat in remaining ingredients.
    Pour cream mixture into pie pan.
    Bake 15 minutes.
    Reduce oven temperature to 300\u00b0 and bake 30 minutes longer or until knife inserted 1-inch from edge comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
    Makes 6 main dish servings; 8 appetizer servings.
