Chicken Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 slices bread
    2 c. cooked chicken
    1/2 c. each: onion, celery and green pepper
    3/4 tsp. salt
    black pepper to taste
    1/2 c. margarine
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 c. grated cheese
Preparation
    Butter\t2
    slices
    bread; cut in 1/2-inch cubes and set aside. Cut
    rest\tof
    bread.
    Put 1/2 in bottom of dish.\tMix chicken, margarine,\tsalt,
    vegetables
    and pepper and spread over
    bread. Put
    rest
    of
    bread over chicken mixture.\tBeat eggs and milk together and pour over casserole.
    Chill.
    Spoon soup
    over casserole.\tSprinkle with buttered bread.
    Bake 50 minutes at 325\u00b0.
    Add cheese the last few minutes.
