Taco Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground meat
    1 chopped onion
    1 can jalapeno pinto beans, undrained
    1 can red kidney beans, undrained
    1 can whole kernel corn or hominy, undrained
    2 cans stewed tomatoes
    2 1/2 c. water
    1 can chopped green chilies
    1 pkg. dry Hidden Valley Original Ranch dressing mix
    garlic powder and black pepper to taste
Preparation
    Brown and drain meat and onion.
    Add remaining ingredients except garlic powder and black pepper.
    Add garlic powder and black pepper to taste.
    Simmer for at least 1 hour to blend flavors.
