Buttermilk Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn meal
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Beat eggs with buttermilk; add this to dry ingredients.
    Stir in shortening.
    Pour batter into hot, greased 8 x 10-inch pan.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
