Mom'S Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
    fresh onions
    fresh garlic
    4 to 5 links Italian sweet sausage
    1 large can crushed tomatoes
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    parsley
    fresh or dried basil
    oregano
    salt and pepper
    hot water
    green bell pepper, diced *
    red wine (Burgundy or Cabernet Sauvignon) *
Preparation
    Brown ground beef with sauteed fresh garlic and onion.
    Drain fat.
    Saute sausage; drain fat.
    Add with ground beef mixture in large stock pot.
    Add tomatoes, tomato paste and sauce.
    Stir together.
    Add parsley, basil, oregano, salt and pepper to season as desired.
    Simmer 2 to 3 hours and add hot water as needed to create sauce thickness desired.
