Chocolate Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

pastry for 9-inch one crust pie
1/3 c. margarine or butter
2 (1 oz. each) sq. unsweetened chocolate
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. pecan halves or broken pecans
1 c. corn syrup
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Prepare pastry.
Heat margarine and chocolate in small saucepan over low heat until melted.
Beat eggs, sugar, salt and syrup with hand beater.
Stir in chocolate mixture and pecans.
Pour into pastry lined pie plate.
Bake until set, 40 to 50 minutes.
Cool slightly.
Serve warm or refrigerate. After serving, refrigerate any remaining pie immediately.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
