Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 1 1/2 lb. sirloin steak, cut in thin strips
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    3 to 4 Tbsp. soy sauce
    2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 c. sliced onions
    1 large green pepper, chopped
    1 c. rice or mashed potatoes
Preparation
    Place oil and soy sauce in large skillet; brown steak.
    Add 1 cup water and place lid on skillet.
    Simmer for about 30 minutes. Stir cornstarch in 1 cup of water, mixing well.
    Add to skillet; bring to boil.
    Reduce heat; stir in onions and green pepper. Cook until crisp.
    Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
