Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/3 c. pecans, chopped in 1/2
Preparation
    Mix sugar, syrup and water; cook over medium heat, stirring often while it comes to a boil.
    Then cook without stirring until a drop forms a firm ball in cold water.
    Beat egg whites; pour about half of the hot syrup mixture into the egg whites while beating constantly.
    While remaining syrup continues to cook, add vanilla and salt to egg mixture.
