Yellow Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. yellow squash, sliced
    1 c. water
    2 small onions, sliced
    1 c. buttery crackers or Pepperidge Farm dressing
    1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 egg or equivalent Second Nature
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Combine squash and water in saucepan; bring to a boil.
    Cover, reduce heat and simmer until squash is tender; drain and mash. Combine squash, half of cracker crumbs, cheese and remaining ingredients.
    Spoon into greased baking dish (2-quart).
    Sprinkle with remaining crumbs.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Makes approximately 6 servings.
