Peanut Butter Crisscrosses - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. peanut butter
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Thoroughly cream shortening, sugar and vanilla.
    Add eggs; beat thoroughly.
    Stir in peanut butter.
    Sift dry ingredients; stir into creamed mix.
    Form into tiny balls; place on cookie sheet.
    Press with back of fork to make crisscross.
    Bake in moderate oven at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Makes 4 dozen.
