Biscotti - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. melted butter
    8 eggs
    8 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. vanilla or almond extract
    2 1/2 or 3 c. sugar
    3 or 4 tsp. lemon juice
    rind grated from 1 lemon
    8 c. flour
    1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Beat eggs and sugar together until well blended. Add melted butter, then add flavoring and lemon juice. Next, add 1/2 of flour (4 cups) and lemon rind and mix well. Mix baking powder with remaining flour and add to batter. Grease baking sheet. Divide dough into small loaves (about 1-inch thick and 2-inches wide). Bake for 30 minutes in preheated oven at 350\u00b0. Remove from oven. Slice each loaf diagonally. Place on their sides on sheet and toast for 15 minutes.
