Paper Bag Apple Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 to 4 large cooking apples
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 unbaked pie shell
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 stick margarine
Preparation

Pare apples
and cut into chunks; then place in a bowl. Combine 1/2
cup
sugar,
2
tablespoons flour and the nutmeg. Pour over
apples and stir to coat well.
Spoon into pie shell and drizzle
with
lemon
juice.
Combine remaining sugar and flour in\ta
bowl
and
cut
in butter.
Sprinkle mixture over apples and
slide\tthe
pie into a heavy brown paper bag. Fold end over twice and fasten with a paper clip or staples.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 1 hour.
