Brown Sugar Drops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. brown sugar, packed
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. buttermilk or water
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    white icing
Preparation
    Mix shortening, sugar and eggs thoroughly.
    Stir in buttermilk or water.
    Combine dry ingredients together; blend into sugar mixture.
    Chill at least 1 hour.
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Spoon dough onto greased cookie sheets.
    Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until almost no imprint remains when touched lightly.
    Frost when cool. Yields six dozen 2 1/2-inch cookies.
