Ingredients

1/4 c. short-grain rice
1/4 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. honey or 1/4 c. sugar
1 qt. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. raisins (optional)
cinnamon to taste
Preparation

Combine first 4 ingredients in a 5 to 6 cup baking dish.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 2 1/2 hours.
Stir often during first hour, 3 times during 2nd hour.
Add vanilla and raisins; sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake the last 1/2 hour with no stirring.
