Taco Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies, drained
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, broken in pieces
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 medium tomato, chopped
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 medium head lettuce, shredded
    2 c. slightly crushed corn or tortilla chips
Preparation
    In a large skillet, brown ground beef; pour off fat.
    Add onion, green chilies, tomatoes, salt and pepper.
    Simmer 10 to 15 minutes.
