Italian Style Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    1 jar spaghetti sauce (26 oz.)
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can whole tomatoes (undrained)
    1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
    2 oz. (1/3 c.) sliced pepperoni
    1 Tbsp. beef bouillon or 3 beef bouillon cubes
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 can kidney beans (optional)
Preparation
    In large kettle or Dutch oven, brown meat with onion.
    Pour off fat.
    Add remaining ingredients (break up tomatoes).
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Serve with shredded cheese and sour cream, if desired.
    Makes about 2 quarts.
