Apple Cinnamon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. Crisco
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
    2 large apples, pared, cored and chopped (about 2 c.)
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease bottom and flour a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
    Beat Crisco, sugar, eggs, vanilla and lemon rind until light and fluffy.
    By hand stir in flour mixture. Do not overmix.
    Stir in apples and nuts.
    Spoon into loaf pan.
