Cooked Chocolate Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 sq. unsweetened chocolate
    3 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. corn syrup
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 c. evaporated milk
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook chocolate, sugar, syrup, salt and milk until it forms a soft ball in cold water.
    Stir constantly to prevent burning. Remove from heat and add butter.
    Let cool without stirring until lukewarm.
    Add vanilla and beat until spreading consistency.
