Chicken Purleau - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. chicken
    1 1/2 lb. link smoked turkey sausage
    1 large onion, chopped fine
    2 c. rice
    4 c. chicken broth
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cook chicken and onion until tender.
    Take chicken off bone. Add rice to chicken broth and cook 10 minutes.
    Then cut chicken and sausage into small pieces and add to broth and rice.
    Simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is done.
