Trimmed-Down Cheese Grits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. water
    3/4 c. uncooked regular grits
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. garlic powder
    1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) shredded low-fat Cheddar cheese
    1/8 tsp. hot sauce
    1/3 c. egg substitute
    vegetable cooking spray
Preparation
    Bring water to a boil in medium saucepan. Add grits.
    Cover, reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Add salt and next 3 ingredients, stirring until cheese melts. Stir a small amount of hot grits into egg substitute; add to remaining grits, stirring constantly.
    Pour mixture into a 1-quart baking dish coated with vegetable spray. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes or until mixture is set.
