Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, torn in pieces
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/4 c. chopped green onions
    4 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
    8 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
    2 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 to 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar
Preparation
    Mix lettuce, celery and onions.
    Place in bottom of salad bowl. Top with sliced eggs, crumbled bacon and peas.
    Mix sugar and mayonnaise.
    Spread over top sealing all edges.
    Sprinkle cheese on top.
    Refrigerate 24 hours before serving.
