Lemon Meringue Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. water
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
grated peel of 1 lemon
1/4 c. lemon juice
1 tsp. butter
1 (9-inch) pie shell
3 egg whites
1/3 c. sugar
Preparation

In medium pot, combine 1 cup sugar and cornstarch.
Stir in water until smooth. Stir in egg yolks.
Bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute.
Remove from heat and add next three ingredients. Spoon into crust.
Beat egg whites at high speed.
Add in sugar and beat until stiff.
Spread meringue evenly over hot filling. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes or until brown.
