Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Sift flour, soda and cream of tartar.
Cream butter; add sugar, small amount at a time, cream after each addition.
Beat egg yolks until thick.
Add to creamed mixture.
Add vanilla extract, mix well.
Add sifted ingredients; mix well.
Roll dough in balls about 3/4 inch.
Put balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake in preheated oven at 275\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
