Corn Muffins - cooking recipe

1 c. yellow cornmeal
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg
Preparation

Heat oven to 425\u00b0.
Grease 12 muffin tins.
Fill each cup 2/3 full.
Bake about 15 minutes.
Yields 12 muffins.
