Quick Yeast Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sweet milk
    1/4 c. shortening
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. cold water
    1 egg
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    3 c. plain flour, sifted
Preparation
    Using a small saucepan, bring milk almost to a boil.
    When skim forms on top of milk, remove from heat.
    Add shortening, sugar and salt and then pour in cold water.
    Use a mixing bowl.
    Pour in milk solution.
    Add egg and yeast.
    Beat until yeast dissolves.
    Sift in 2 cups of flour (gradually).
    Mix well.
    Knead in remaining flour. Roll out dough and cut in biscuit form.
    Can be folded over with butter (optional) or leave as is.
    To use right away, place on lightly greased cookie sheet and cover with a damp cloth.
    Let rise for 1 hour at room temperature.
    Cook at 350\u00b0.
