German Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. shredded cabbage
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    2 medium carrots, shredded
    1 c. vinegar
    1 c. water
    2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Combine the first 4 ingredients.
    Boil together the vinegar, water, sugar, salt and mustard seed.
    Pour hot mixture over cabbage.
    Mix well. Cool. This will keep several weeks in a covered container in the refrigerator.
