Grigelhupfe(Nutcake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. sugar
    6 eggs, separated
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    6 Tbsp. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. walnuts
Preparation
    Cream butter.
    Add sugar slowly; beat until light and fluffy. Beat in egg yolks, one at a time.
    Mix flour, salt and baking powder.
    Combine milk and vanilla.
    Mix in crushed nuts.
    Add flour mixture and milk alternately to butter and nut mixture, stirring in gently and thoroughly.
    Set mixture aside momentarily. Beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry.
    Fold in thoroughly with mixture set aside.
    Spoon into well-greased and lightly floured Bundt pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until cake tests done.
