Pecan Turtles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 doz. large pecans, halved lengthwise
    2 doz. large pecans, halved crosswise
    2 doz. light caramels
Preparation
    On a sheet of wax paper, form 6 turtle-like shapes by using long pecan halves for legs and the crosswise pieces for heads. Grease a microwave-safe plate.
    Place 6 caramels at a time around the outer edge of the plate and microwave on High for 15 or 20 seconds.
    Press a warm caramel over each turtle shape.
    Repeat process until you have 2 dozen Turtles.
