Sand Tarts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. grated orange rind
Preparation

Sift flour and measure.
Add baking powder and salt.
Cream shortening and sugar and beat until light.
Add egg and orange rind.
Combine all and chill.
Roll thin, cut, brush with beaten egg white and water.
Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes approximately 3 dozen cookies.
