Celery Almondine - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. chopped celery
1 large thinly sliced onion
1 can cream of celery soup
1/2 c. buttered bread crumbs
1/2 to 1 c. sharp cheese, grated
1/2 c. slivered almonds
salt and pepper
Preparation

Cook celery and onion in salted, boiling water until just barely done.
Put in 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Saute almonds in butter, sprinkle over mixture.
Top with shredded cheese and buttered bread crumbs which have been lightly tossed together. Bake in preheated 375\u00b0 oven until hot and bubbly, about 20 minutes. Serves 6 to 8. (This may be prepared early in day and baked just before serving.)
