Baked Lima Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. large lima beans (dry)
    1 large can Italian chopped tomatoes
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 c. diced celery
    1/4 c. brown sugar (more if you want)
    1 c. broth from beans
Preparation
    Soak beans overnight in cold water with 2 tablespoons baking soda.
    Next day, rinse and cook until tender, about 1 hour.
    Keep 2 cups of broth.
    Mix ingredients with beans.
    Line baking dish with bacon strips.
    Pour in bean mixture; using only 1 cup broth. Add bacon strips to top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 2 to 3 hours.
    Add remaining broth if necessary.
