Fruity Sundaes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. jello (any flavor)
    1 c. boiling water
    1 1/4 c. cold water
    1 pt. ice cream (any flavor)
    1/2 c. fruit sundae sauce or drained fruit
    1 c. Cool Whip
    1/4 c. chopped nuts
    4 stemmed maraschino cherries
Preparation
    Dissolve jello in boiling water.
    Add cold water and chill in bowl until set.
    Alternately spoon ice cream and jello into 4 tall sundae glasses, ending with jello, filling to within 1/2-inch of top.
    Top with sauce, Cool Whip, nuts and cherries.
    Serve at once.
