Old Fashion Potato Chips - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large white potatoes
    peanut oil for deep frying
    salt or other seasoning
    2 Tbsp. white vinegar
Preparation
    Peel potatoes.\tRinse
    in
    cold water.\tSlice crosswise into rounds, thin and
    uniform,\tby
    hand
    or
    use a vegetable slicer that
    works
    by hand or attaches to an electric mixer. Soak sliced potatoes in several changes of very cold water for 2
    hours, adding ice cubes to the last change of water.
    Turn potato\tslices into
    a towel and dry thoroughly.\tFill a deep fat
    fryer\twith 3
    inches
    of oil and heat to 375\u00b0.
    Using a frying
    basket
    or large
    spatula, fry only a few slices at a time, shaking the basket to prevent sticking.
    Chips should be golden
    in
    4\tto
    5 minutes.
    Drain chips on paper towels or brown paper bag.
    Salt just before serving.
