Divinity Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    2/3 c. water
    2/3 c. Karo (white)
    4 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients in boiler.
    Cook until soft boil stage.
    Beat egg whites until stiff, then pour half the mixture over egg whites and beat.
    Cook rest of mixture until hard stage, then pour rest over egg white mixture.
    Add vanilla and beat until ready to drop by teaspoon on wax paper or greased pan.
    Use candy thermometer.
