Mapley Carrots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 doz. carrots, cut
    1 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. butter
    3 Tbsp. maple syrup
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    In heavy saucepan, combine carrots, water and salt.
    Bring to a boil and cook, covered, over medium heat, until tender.
    Drain. Add remaining ingredients.
    Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
    Serve with sauce spooned over.
    Makes 2 cups.
